If you have a stable medical condition or rehabbing from an injury, ideally you should be referred to an exercise specialist. This is where Aimee can help and support you. She is a personal training coach with Exercise Referral qualifications and Level 4 Specialist Qualifications.

Funktion is a non-intimidating, friendly and fun environment, where everyone feels welcome, and Aimee will immediately put you at ease. She has significant experience working with clients with a wide range of needs and conditions ranging from neurological diagnoses such as multiple sclerosis and strokes to obesity and diabetes.

Whether you require a rehabilitation programme for injury or illness, she can tailor a programme that is bespoke to your needs, will improve your mental health and that will get the best results for you.

If your doctor, physiotherapist or supporting charitable organisation has mentioned to you that you would benefit from exercise, you can be referred to Aimee as a client. Come in for an assessment and she can work out if it would be more suitable for you to join one of her group sessions or if 1:2:1 personal training would be more appropriate. Once you are referred Aimee will write to your referee and she will continue to update them on your progress.

Funktion is a safe environment, and you are in safe hands. We are very aware of and sensitive to individual needs. There are many benefits to being surrounded by people who are like-minded and who want to improve their health and fitness so come along and meet new friends in our strength and conditioning classes. We also have boxing sessions tailored for you if you have Parkinson’s disease and stretching classes if you have multiple sclerosis.

There is a structured programme and Aimee will set goals with you, right at the start of your journey, that are realistic. Over the course of a 12-week programme, you will see your progress that she will monitor and track.

You can refer yourself to Aimee, or this form can be used by Charity, GP or Physio to start the Referral process.

The form will take about 10 minutes to complete and ask you about your medical history. All responses are treated with the strictest confidentiality. This information will only be opened and used by Aimee for the sole use of your training.
